KO SAMUI
In the North, Chiang Mai, Golden Triangle & Bai or Ko Phi Phi in the south
It depends what you are into.
I know couples that have a done a tiki tour of Thailand for a honeymoon, and others that have gone to the quiet and secluded end of Phuket. They all seemed to enjoy their time there.
There is plenty to do in Thailand although the tour guides don't always take you to the most interesting places.
Get back with another question explaining what you are into.
The Dusit Thani Hotel not sure about spelling but its great there and the area is superb - markets day and night- spectacular views - suites - transportation..basically everything and do not take much luggage with you as you will want to buy all the clothes and things for sale so leave plenty of room in case!
Excitement, big city life with lots of shopping and nightlife/entertainment - try Bangkok.
For peace and quiet, some time to be together - Chiang Mai.
For all of the above and throw in the beaches, you can try Phuket, Samui.
Have fun and enjoy ;-)
Forget Thailand, go to Flemington, Melb Aust.
hands down
Phuket!

For the newly wed couple looking for a perfect honeymoon, Thailand is just the right combination of everything - romance, adventure and a countryside rich in history worthy of exploration. The best time of the year to visit Thailand is between November to May. Thailand is stunningly beautiful with its serene and postcard perfect palms fringed tranquil beaches . The capital, Bangkok, is a vibrant city well known for its chaos, street side vendors and endless crowds of people.

Alternatively, you and your beloved can indulge in an afternoon of his-and-hers pampering with a Thai massage for two using local tonics and oils at a luxurious seaside spa. Bangkok is the ultimate shopper's paradise, with dozens of gift-oriented markets ripe for a savvy bargain hunter.
Ancient ruins, temples and deserted cities all testify to a magnificent past in Thailand, a wonderful place to spend your honeymoon. What's more, these historical treasures are found in a superb natural setting - Thailand has a plethora of picturesque islands and beaches and is also home to 80 national parks where many species of wildlife roam. The Thai people are well reputed for their friendliness, and will share with you a beautiful country. More cultural richness is found at Ayuthaya, which was the Thai capital for many centuries. Its temple ruins, dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries, have been declared a World Heritage Site. Chiang Mai, Thailand's second city, was founded in 1296. It has many excellent restaurants, some 300 temple-monasteries, and is a good base for treks in to the surrounding hills.
Thailand is justifiably famous for its islands, Ko Samui, Phuket Ko Chang, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Lanta, Ko Samet, Ko Yao being the most well known, as well as the incrediable resorts at Krabi, Hua Hin & Trang. It will be hard to tear yourself away from their palm-fringed beaches, but head inland and you will discover coconut plantations, rice paddies and tropical vegetation. Diving and snorkeling are popular off the coast, where beautiful coral reefs lie beneath the water's surface.

Phuket or Chiang-Mai
If you want the beach, then probably Phuket.
If you want tours around the mountains, and vist hill tribes, and see handicrafts, then Chiang Mai.
It can be very cheap if you want it to be, or slightly more expensive you can find some luxury hotels. There's hundreds of good restaurants with food from all nations - not just Thai food, which is excellent.
Chiang Mai or Krabi.
It depend : Did you find already a nice thaï girl ?
I would say Hua Hin since it not as expensive as Koh Samui, but still near the beach,,, Pattaya is far too noisy
