In what currency do you have to pay for your visa at sharm airport, egypt?
Answers:
Better keep dollars with you.
13$ per person
more or less
oil
English money
The info on this varies whatever source you use. I went there 6 years ago and to be safe I brought Egyptian currency but they did readily accept Sterling. Be wary though about paying sterling as you can fall into the "Random Exchange Rate" or "No change for Foreign Currency Payments" traps.
If you have time to get some local currency do so but have some Sterling too. You'll spend it all on hols one way or the other anyway!
Cheers and have a great Hol. Diving is awesome at Sharm.
Did you know, you dont need a visa if you stay in Sharm? If your going on any trips out of Sharm then you need to get one. We paid in English pounds, have the right money. Have a good time.
$$$ :)
if your not going on trips dont need a visa, keep to left at airport check in just say to gurad etc sinai only then no visa needed the price in feb last year was £15'50
Any but $ or Sterling or Euros are Egyptians favourite. I would say go Euros.
they want your English money but act daft & tell em you don't have any. Also there's usually a bloke stamping passports in the corner doing it for cheaper & he's legit.
There a different prices for different passports, from what Ic an gather from the Egyptian Consulate website. It may be worth checking if you need a visa before you go or not. Some passports appear to be free of charge too .. mine is £27.00 . my husbands is free! But as an experienced traveller, paying in the local currency normally gives the better deal and it's assured your currency will be accepted
