Whats the job/immigrant situation like in Kent especially Medway?
We live in South Wales and my Kent-born and bred BF and I have talked about moving to his "home turf" for a while.
But I've been told Kent is overrun with imigration and its hard to get work as the immigrants are all doing the jobs for half what a British person would expect. Is that true? What are things like down there?

Don't know much about north Kent but the Kent/East Sussex border is very little work. We looked at moving to Maidstone and although work is no prob (commuting to East Sussex), it would mean we would have to pay about £300 more a month for the same size flat we got now. So we're staying put for now.

I would not bother, save your money as it is worse in Kent/Sussex counties for immigrants taking the jobs,housing etc.
