British Airways or Virgin Atlantic between London & NY?

I'm looking to change from BA. has anyone flown Virgin? Is it true they serve cocktails?

Answers:
was with VIRGIN ny to london it was 1 class food drinks a bed to sleep in best ever flight ever
This is no subject for comedy!

Seems you now get virgins and cocks on board!
yes and £20 notes are free for toilet paper
VIRGIN!! They are SOOOOOOOOO much better. Personally I think BA have gone right down hill. Virgin take care of their passengers that little bit more. They have the edge on the little things that make a difference!
definetly virgin. They have beds, much nicer food, and its really comfy!
I've flown to and from US twice-- once with BA and once with Virgin.

I swore I'd never fly BA again --they were absolute crap in every department whilst virgin were probably the best I've ever flown.

Food space attitude totally better.
BA is much better in economy class. Virgin's economy seats have no legroom and the person in front's seat reclines too far - crushing your knees. Virgin's TVs are notoriously bad too - in any given row of three, you can guarantee that at least one seat's TV won't work.

In business class, both airlines are pretty much the same. Virgin used to have the friendlier staff - but not anymore. The beds are fairly good in each.

As a frequent flyer myself, I would stick with BA - but only because their check-in staff are usually more helpful (in allowing me to change flights, move seats, check in extra baggage for free etc.).
Definitely Virgin. They serve lovely food and their in-flight entertainment is excellent. I've never flown long-haul with BA though!
Virgin. They are particularly good with children. However, BA Club Class is probably better than Virgin. Some years ago, flew BA (Economy) to JFK and the in-flight service was very poor. I went to their office on 5th Avenue to complain and received a free upgrade for return flight! Economy and Club are chalk and cheese.
Neither , stay in London , New York is full of Americans !
Definately Virgin. So much more friendly, it turns the flight into an experience.
Virgin is a different class. Big is not best, BA forget it
