Take a tram up Victoria Peak and see the view, have tea at the Mandarin Oriental, shop, visit the markets, eat street noodles, catch the Star Ferry, visit all 50+ MacDonalds on Nathan Road (I'm joking about that bit!), take a trip to Lantau Island and eat fresh BBQed fish, visit a temple and soak up the sights and smells, take a trip to the New Territories and see the countryside. Enjoy it!!
I lived there for 2 years, the best thing to do is just soak up the atmosphere, if you have never been to thee far east then you had better be prepared for something different! great people, bargains galore, must-sees, star ferry to hk island, walk to the peaak tram, go up daytime AND nightime. also, Temple street market off Nathan road, at nightime, what a place. Enjoy it.
sink money! In hongkong it is the best place to spending dollars. you can enjoy travelling, quality food,night pubs, shopping, massage,..etc.
Do not worry about you bucks here, you can use it up happily, and easily.
Shopping and eating guess this is what all my friends say. not much places of interest so to speak except the most recent Disneyland but is still the smallest among the others.
I found that the visit to the Science Museum and days racing were exciting for me.

If you only want one one place to go, Victoria Peak is it. But frankly, anything esle you will do is worth it. But you really don't need to visit anything or go anywhere special, even just hanging out on the street is fun, just soak up the atmosphere and enjoy.
SHOP! Everything here in Hong Kong is CHEAP. Especially the CLOTHES and SHOES. But also, You can go roam around and have a good lunch or dinner on some seafood restaurants because there are a lot of Seafood restaurants here in Hong Kong

Eat and shop! thats the best place in the world to really eat and shop. When not busy, i do it as an annual ritual.
1) Go 2 the "peak' n slack.enjoy the night view.
2) Go 2 "lui Yan Kai" nightmarket n shop..enjoy ur spending power.
3) Go 2 "Sai Kung" n eat..enjoy the fresh seafood.
4) Go 2 "lan Gui Fong" n party..enjoy ur day.
