Can you take champagne in your luggage on a plane - I'm worried it will explode!?
We are planning on taking some champagne with us for our wedding - but I am worried about the pressure making it expllode in the suitcases - maybe I am totally wrong - any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks

I have packed Champagne with no ill effects, just wrap the bottle in a towel and be sure it is at room temperature when you pack it. Confirm with your airline if they allow you to pack liquids in your stored luggage some do not and it may be seized. To be on the safe side pack and ship it to your wedding site, the concierge or front desk can hold it until you arrive or have it shipped to a friend you have there. Good Luck!
No, these days you can't even take shampoo, hairspray or mouthwash on a plane. Buy it when you get there.
I shouldn't think so. After all they sell Champagne in duty free. Check with the airlines.
yes it will explode if its kept in the hold of the plane as this area is not pressurerised whoever in your hand luggage it should be ok.. But why not buy champagne when you get there ?? it will be the same as the stuff here and probably cost a bit less
i would think it's okay.after all, they fly it from france to the united states! check with the airline whether it would be best in your checked luggage or in your carry on. congrats on your wedding!
I am not saying it wouldnt pop its cork, but most airplane holds are now pressurised because of the type stuff they now carry, most airlines dont just carry your cases!
If I was you buy it where you are going to be sure.
best not even try what with a the restrictions and all that thats going on a the moment
All that needs to be in your checked baggage.
I doubt very much that it will be allowed!
