New Years in Prague?
I'm off to Prague for New Years/Stag Do! Wanted to know if anyone else had been that time of year? If so, are the Bars like back in the UK charging extortionate prices and doing ticket only nights etc. or more laid back.
Any names of places to go/drink will also be appriciated!
Thanks.

Yeah its as expensive as London all year round unfortunately, we didnt come across any ticket onlys though. I cant remember any names of places we went to, but we were staying near the city centre anyway and there were loads of places to go partying, or just for a quiet meal or drink, lots of touristy things to see, Prague is an excellent place to go. Get the Lonely Planet, we went to a few bars and restaurants that had been mentioned in there and they were awesome!
There is only one piece of advice that you really really need to know and its nothing to do with the bars etc. It is this. Bring something to cover your ears. Seriously dude, you need a hat that comes down over your ears, or a scarf you can wrap round them, or even some ear muffs, if you dont have something over your ears at that time of year in Prague, you will not be able to stay outside longer than 10 mins. I went on the 06th Jan this year and I have never been somewhere so cold in my life! I thought my ears had got frost bite after 5 mins of being outside with nothing covering them. So go prepared so that your enjoyment wont be hindered by the cold! You will see what I mean!
