Is it possible to get a seven passenger taxi from heathrow airport to London City centre.?
Or does it have to be pre booked. What is the average price.
Answers:
Yes it is possible - but - there are not many taxis that large, most are licensed to carry five people.

My best advice is always to go to the Transport for London website and use their journey planner. You must allow at least an hour from the time that you expect your flight to arrive at LHR to your being in a position to move on.
Yeah it's called a minibus
Yes you can get a mini bus
The standard London taxi is built by LTI they have the monopoly and their latest model is the TX2 which is a five seater, so book a private hire mini bus, hopefully when the monopoly is broken then you will see E7 eurobuses as Taxis in London carrying 7 passengers.
I will disappoint you but it is not.
You can either get 2 taxis (appr 35.00GBP per taxi) or the Hotelink - this is kind a small mini bus which takes you wherever you request and it cost 17.00 GBP per person.
In my opinion the best way would be to take the heathrow express to Padington St. and than the metro.
You could book an airport pick-up service minibus before you travel, or better still, if you're not dragging all kinds of bags, get the tube!
I'm sure if you just wait around for a few minutes one will come along. Not all London taxis are the black 5-seater ones.
contact national express bus company, they are a lot cheaper than taxi's.
a taxi usually sits 5, you'll have to get two or lease a mini bus. but that is very expensive (a taxi ride from heathrow to city centre is about 35-40 pounds). I'd advise you take the tube its cheap (4 pounds) and is very convenient since it more then likely will get really close to your hotel and is usually pretty empty when it exits heathrow so all seven of you will probably sit near each other.
yes you can, or a mini bus, approx £15 each for the mini bus
