Just back from spain what do you think of it for a holiday good or bad ??
Answers:
Great place.!
Good nothing wrong with it
It's great! Especially Andalucia.
I never really fancied Spain - don't like the tacky tourist type holidays - always thought it was full of English people getting drunk, discoing, sunbathing and eating fish and chips.
Then recently my sister and her partner persuaded me to go with them. We went to Madrid and my heart was won over - no English people - most of them didn't even understand much English and we came across some that couldnt speak a word - forcing me to quickly learn from phrase book.
I loved the sights, the amazing architecture, the fountains, the Royal Palace, the beautiful Basillicas (circular, domed artistic churches), the Spanish art gallery (La Prada), the parks, the shopping - everything was so cheap - I came home with a host of beautiful shoes and bags. Flamenco dancing and singing brilliant, and Tapas - wow.
All I want to do is go back - and I will - my cousin has just emigrated to a village 2 hrs south of Madrid in the Andalusian mountains of Extremadura.
Viva Espana
I'd love to go there one day.
Turkey is great, I recommend that
eh?
what do you mean ?
bad , i suppose you should have been helping me conquer the world.
Brilliant some thing for every taste ,from touriisty and tacky,to clean and classy ,I loved it so much i moved here 6 years ago and never looked back,
where in spain did you go,majoca is good so to is salou.i think ibiza has gone down hill, trying benidorm for the 1st time at xmas.
We had been in Spain before and loved it. For us Canadians, it was still cheap . Now they are using the Euro, everything is very expensive, for us anyway, and shopping, even for their nice shoes or bags is out of the question.
Again, being from Canada, we found the traffic is mad, nowhere to park, construction everywhere, and the attitude in most restaurants was very cold.
Spent a week in Benidorm and it WAS full of drunk Brits- we really thought we had landed in the middle of Manchester ! - discoing, screaming, belching, arguing and eating fish & chips.
Went up North and loved it there..not as touristy, beautiful beaches and sceneries, lovely people..Would go back there, but not in the South..
We enjoyed it.Went last year the first time we had ever been abroad as a family.I was a bit worried before we went as I have 2 sons with special needs & dont like change but they liked it so much we went again this year.It was Majoca
The resorts are exactly that resorts you people made them popular so don't blame the Spanish for getting the most from them and full of Brits you say ,what about Moroccans Rumanian's,poles Germans, french,if you want a great holiday see the real Spain from the interior next time trust me you will love it.cheaper than the Costa's and plenty of history from El CID to Franco.
fishing along the Ebro second to none best place on earth for everyone to enjoy no matter what their nationality and resort roads are mad i can drive kilometres without seeing a soul
