The best and cheapest way to travel from Glasgow to Dublin?

I have a boyfriend who lives in ireland, and i have found it difficult to find information on cheap ways to travel to see him, i only usually go for a weekend, every 2-3 weeks. Please help :)

Try ryanair & aerlingus both fly into Dublin airport from Glasgow
Ryanair fly from Preswick and aerlingus from from Glasgow city.

or you could get the ferry from Strangrar to Larne and then get the train from Larne to Dublin (very long)
