Weekend Getaway for Single Person on a Budget?

I need a break!! I'm looking for ideas on a weekend break that would be safe and suitable for me as a single girl. Any ideas?

Answers:
Krakow - very safe, good for all budgets, easy to get around, very pretty, good for shopping, great for drinking coffee and people- watching. I've been there on my own loads and have never felt threatened or bored.
It depends on where you are now. Are you in the United States or another country? If U.S., which state?
OK WELL NEVERMIND ALL OF MY IDEAS WOULD BE WAYYY TOO EXPENSIVE FROM THE U.K. LOL - GOOD LUCK!

it depends on where you are, but here are my ideas.
Las Vegas - for some partying and meeting new people
San Diego - for some relaxation and spending time near water
San Francisco - for some good food, and seeing interesting things - dress warm!
Sacramento - nice inexpensive place to go. See the capital and they also have a good nightlife.
Phoenix, AZ - for some pampering, I hear they have good day spas there.
First of all, where in the world are you? I can't sent you to Sequoia if you live in New York.
It may'v'e helped if you'd said where you are, after all how are we to know you can afford a w/e away to wymess bay (west coast of scotland) if you are on the isle of dogs, south island NZ, Kobe Japan. etc, ask your Q again stating where you are, then you might get some suggestions
Cork in Ireland, forget Dublin its a tourist trap. Travel by Swansea Cork ferries it's dead cheap
Eurolines coach to Poland (I reckon you're talking only 24hrs in cramped space with The Bodyguard on repeat all the way) then go to youth hostel, where you'll probably get your stuff nicked so carry it around with you at all times.
I would suggest Bath. I went there as a single girl, met lots of nice people, saw the sights. Their bath house is amazing! Extremely interesting city with very friendly people. You can also take tours to Stonehenge or the Cotswolds and visit the monestary where Harry Potter 1 & 2 have been filmed. It's a lovely place. I hope this helps!
Try a coach tour. Local or national companies have all kinds of trips including short breaks to europe. My wife and I have tried a few and find that there are usually one or two single ladies in the party. They feel safer as part of a group and it is easy to get to know your fellow travellers. The link is to one of the best (not cheapest) coaching companies in the uk.
My other half and I run a company offering short breaks and holidays mainly to Eastern Europe and include a lot of extras included in our prices. Have a look at www.simplysinglesholidays.com.

Our groups are fairly small - no more than 12-ish, mixed age group, plus we take you to places where the locals eat/drink so it's cheaper and you don't get ripped off.

Wherever you decide to go - have a great time!
