Answers:
Decent hols in JULY from BELFAST are a rip off..try to go ANY other time of the year .early December is usually cheap to the Canaries.
WELCOME TO WALMART
flying from manchester u can get great deals to florida on a squeeze ..
i would try maybe spain as u would have more spending money left
2 grand? six people? jeez. I'd say Dublin.
First of all you need to figure out where you will and won't go. You will most likely need to go self catering as you have so many kids (you didn't specify ages so I am assuming they are all under 16).
You can't just expect anyone here to do all the searching for you. So have a look at an internet search engine like www.travelsupermarket.com. To compare prices of different tour operators. Are you looking at going abroad? Travelling the UK?
Just to let you know if you are looking at going abroad, you may have to up your budget.
Stop being lazy and do the work yourself!
wait until after christmas, jet2 are going to open more routes and you won't need to change at mankychester or london
This may sound odd, but my mum wins competitions for a living, and always has holidays available at bargain prices.if you email me at janwill17@yahoo.co.uk i'll be happy to pass on your details, or give you hers?
I thought we were going to Portugal.
check, cheap flights .com
try booking flights and accommodation separately we did last year and it worked out so much cheaper its easy with Internet do it once and you will never go on a package holiday again
Hmmmm.
Six folks. Two grand.
Stay home and be a tourist in your own neighborhood.
I've done it when strapped for cash - it works.
Go to museums, parks, shows that you wouldn't ordinarily do. You might like it.
try direct holidays online.
Malta
Cos Belfast fly directly to most places you're already saving a good bit. I moved away from Belfast a year ago and its costing me £300 to get back for a couple of days visit every couple of months. Depending on where you want to go and what age the kids are, I would opt for spain etc. Benidorm is good family destination. We took the kids there two years ago and they had a ball and it was really cheap to go self catering..
Try Travelcare 02890 451654 or Thomsons 02890 458623 x x x
www.terratravel.co.uk
they do lots of good deals from belfast and dublin.
try www.directholidays.co.uk but I honestly think you'll struggle to get something in July for that money for 6 people.
Or consdier Euro disney for a long weekend and stay in the Explorers hotel which have 6 dorms so works out alot cheaper than having to get two rooms. Flights for about £100 to Paris CDG direct from Belfast with easy jet.
I would seriously consider hiring a large house in the South of Ireland for about £500, near a beach, good pubs etc and just enjoy beign near home. Foreign holidays are grand but given the great weather we had in July this year, I'd take my chances and stay at home. Try Galway, Donegal etc.
Or try a nice hotel in the South. We went to Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran one year and it was really great. Didn't need to leav the hotel when weather was bad as indoor pool. Or is weather is good, the beach is just outside and there's golfing etc. Bundoran town itself is a kip but its the hotel on the hill that makes it. Lovely spa place near beach as well. And good in hotel entertainment at night. Kids can stay in bar til about 11 or so.
Consider Scotland too or do the Centerparcs thing in England where you hire luxury log cabins.
Either way, enjoy!!
p.s. consider payign patient relative to mind kids for £500 for the week and you and your partner clear off to the sun on your own. Hee Hee!!
