Stanstead airport to Sidcup (return in one day) with a wheelchair.. How?
I need to get from Stanstead airport to Sidcup (Kent) on oct 27th and for a open day at a university. I'm stuck on how to do it because the tube is not possible with the wheelchair ( not the route i need anyway) and i'm under 23 so cant hire a car and my family are away so cant help. Does anyone have any other ideas on how i could do it?

You can get a national express coach from stansted to stratford in East London for £6, you may need to make special arrangements with them first but stratford is a wheelchair accessible station, Get the Docklands right railway to Lewisham, once you get off there will be 2 exits 1 with stairs and the other a long ramp to a large roundabout, turn 180 degrees and go to the train station, once you go in turn left and the platform there runs trains to sidcup every 15 mins or so, i'm not sure if Sidcups wheelchair accessible as i've only gone as far as Mottingham but i'm sure if you google it you can find south-east trains' number and give them a call
Taxi.
Train from Stansted to Liverpool Street
There are really only 2 ways from there.
149 Bus to London Bridge and then train to Sidcup. I think the 149 is a "bendy" bus so the wheelchair should be OK there. London Bridge should be OK as well.
The other way is taxi all the way from Liverpool Street. The taxi rank is next to the Stansted Express platform.
Are you going to Greenwich University ?
Try the Transport for London website and look at their journey planner. It is nice to find genuine questions on this site and not the juvenile rubbish that dominates it.
You can get a mainline train to Liverpool St, and a mainline train from London Bridge to Sidcup. In between, you can get buses 48, or 149 to L/Bridge, both have wheelchair access-ability.
The college is in Burnt Oak Lane DA15 9DF. If you look at the multimap website, and enter the postcode, you can see where it is, relative to the station.
If you look at the Transport For London journey planner website, you can check the details I have given you. They have a wheelchair-friendly choice of route, if you tick the box.
The first answer to your question(coach to Stratford, etc) is a good alternative.
