Which travel agent is cheapest for direct flights from London/Airports to Bangkok in November?
Looking for a very cheap direct flight to the Land of Smiles around the end of October.I know Oasishongkong.com has some great deals via HK,but i just want to fly direct as im only staying for 14nights.

You may have a problem with "direct" - not so much with the fare as the availability. Thai have a consolidators fare that you should get for about £320- £340 BEFORE tax and the , er, charges (which adds another £30 0r £40 to the price) I say "er" because part of the "charges", sometimes dressed up as tax, is the surcharge you have to pay for the petrol for the plane - the so-called YQ tax. Thai Airlines really have a pisspoor attitude on this front and hike the YQ surcharge up almost daily. So, a tad under £500. But you need to find avaialability in "W" class on Thai which is not easy. If you do not have a problem with a change a good bet would be QR (Qatar) airlines who are very comfortable to fly with and Kuwait Airlines and the new Etihad offer a low base fare which you should get at about the same £320-ish mark but without the hefty screw on the tax front - and availability will (probably) be better. I send a lot of people on Qatar Airlines and have had no complaints. They really are very helpful. (P.S. I do NOT work for Qatar Airlines, it is a genuine comment)
Most websites offer consolidated fares, makes little difference who you choose. It's not the website which is that critical, either the airline has seats in the correct class - in which case any old site will offer the fare or they don't. It is little realised but plainly obvious fact when you think about it - that if an aeroplane has, say, 250 seats and there are 250 humans already booked on it you can try anywhere you like - the thing is still full!!
