Where is the best place to sit on a Jumbo jet? UK to West Coast USA, normal (economy) class section?

Going to check in online so would like to choose seat, I am 6'2" and need leg room, we are flying British Airways.

Answers:
Go to http://seatguru.com and look up the aircraft you will be finding. They will have a map of the "good" seats and the "not-so-good" seats. You can find your aircraft type on the airline's web site.
right hand side near the toilet
i find inside is best
the best seat of all is called the bulkhead, or the front row of economy, just behind first class. they usually give that to people with children, but if you call them and tell them that you are extremely tall (exaggerate, they won't measure you) you might get lucky. otherwise, first class is always roomy, but 5 times the cost. the rest of the seats behind the first row of economy are almost always identical in terms of space. good luck!
in the back mate if it hits a mountain it will be head on they wont reverse into it will they?
Just beside the entrance or beside emergency door.
The best place to sit on a jumbo jet is just above the emergency exits. Synergist Saddles of Cheyenne, WY will custom fit your saddle to accomodate the Boeing 747-400's formidable girth. I recommend a Western Saddle with a saddle horn, a rear cinch, and a regulation safety belt to keep you and the saddle from lifting through nasty turbulence. British Airways will make provisions for tucking your rigging into the emergency exits before take-off. Important note: The cruising speed of a Boeing 747-400 is 583 mph thus you should improve your upper-arm strength before take-off. I recommend chin-ups and strength training to prepare you for the bumpy ride ahead.

Have fun, Cowboy!
in the black box lol
Pick an aisle seat at an exit location, and you'll have legroom and good service and no-one can put their bloody seat-back down into your food. find it on line at your airline-aircraft-seating
