Marbella or Courchevel?

Have been invited away with friends for Christmas to Marbella, really nice apartment, good warm weather (but will that feel like Christmas)?, or perhaps do what I wanted to do earlier in the year and go skiing...(have never been before). Opinions please

Answers:
Definitely Courchevel if you want a white Christmas.
Marbella is more a "summer sun and fun" place, although in the winter the weather is a lot warmer than anywhere else in Europe, which is an advantage if you need some sun.
Christmas is not very "christmasy" in Spain, so if you want more christmas spirit, go skiing in France!
Both places are grand, you'll have a difficult choice!
definitely courcheval. weather is an important ingredient to holidays.
Marbella
I am gonna look like a twat now coz I don't know where that second place is but please don't go to Spain. It is evil and nasty people live there! Skiing is wicked.do that.
Marbella is nice, it's lively and stylish and it's always good to be with friends.

Courchevel 1850 will be near the top of anyone's list of the world's top ski resorts (unless they like to think of themselves as a just too cool hardcore grunger). Christmas in pretty well any ski resort is magical and I'm sure Courchevel will delight you at that time of year. But really, it's like this - you've never been skiing. You've never experienced the thrill, the exhiliration, the heady atmosphere, felt its passion, its addictiveness. Do it and you'll want to do it again and again. A lifetime of fulfilment awaits you in Courchevel, and no better place to embrace it.
ok, first of all marbella will NOT be good warm weather!! It will most likely be raining or cloudy, and though not cold definatley not warm. Apart from that, who you spend xmas with is important, so think about that. Courcheval will be fabulous, there is nothing more christmassy than spending it surrounded by snow! & a tip if you only get to go sking for a week or so try snowboarding, it is much easier to get to a reasonable level (ie not falling over constantly) within a short space of time. have fun!
