OK - the sense of "let's get through this" is more firmly ingrained, so they will work harder before they give up, in contrast to "western" women, who seem to believe that easy divorce is the best answer to severe problems.

It is totally the norm for ALL men to indulge in extra-marital affairs as often as humanly possible. The reason why seems to be pretty much the same...She was great before we got married.. or the old favourite "I married HER not the whole bloody village!"
