There are some great pubs in Dublin to choose the best I think is impossible
Johnny Fox's in the Dublin mountains is great
Temple bar is filled with all kind of pubs
Very hard thing to choose
You never said what sort of pub you were looking for but I agree that the Temple Bar-in Temple Bar covers all the bases if you are visiting
Johnny Foxes is great but pretty far out of the city
FOR REAL IRISH/DUBLIN CULTURE, THEN THE TEMPLE BAR AREA IS A MUST DO.BUT DONT GO TO 'BOBS' IF U R OVER 21
The street of pubs is Temple Bar. You just choose one which you like and enter inside.
I tell just 2 which are oldest in Dublin: Patric Conway Pub 1747 and The Brazen Head 1198
Nowhere near Temple Bar unless you like drinking with tourists and pretending to be in a 'real' Irish pub.
In the city centre, Mulligan's of Poolbeg Street and in the north suburbs, Kavanagh's the gravediggers are both good pubs.
ANY pub with TV screens and loud music should be burned to the ground.
All of them. Enjoy yourself..bring lots of money.
The Clarence Hotel, owned by members of U2 is good and Johnny Fox's in Glencullen has great craic. If you like discos, the one below Leeson Inn hotel, in Lower Leeson Street, Dublin 2, is loud and very popular.
