If M8 is a nightmare, go on the loch lomond road between Balloch and Stirling and you can join the M9 to Edinburgh for there.but be warned.eveything goes fine until your 11 miles from Edinburgh.then it grinds to a halt.
If poss and on the M9 take the north circular to the zoo and go through costophine to get to the centre - Hermiston gate is a nightmare.
Train takes 48 minutes. Save the Planet!
