Does anybody know if there is a beaurau de change at Gatwick departure lounge after going 'airside'?

Answers:
There are 3 in the South Terminal, and 2 in North

The ones in South are closed from midnight to about 6am
The ones in North are 24 hours a day

EDIT
I see we have the age old problem of someone giving Thumbs Down to perfectly good answers cropping up again.
Yes I seem to remember there is a Travelex
yes, there is.
I don't know but I assume yes. However, you know that your ATM card will likely work overseas and you'll save money there. The bank will give you the current best exchange rate and you won't have any retarded fees to pay. Just a $3 or $4 ATM fee which is a lot less than the exhange fee some places charge!!
yea, there is both a travelex and an America Express depending on which terminal you use.
eye there is !! you lucky person, but you should have sorted it before you get airside.
Have a look at this link its a comprehensive guide to Gatwick.

The arrivals area (in both terminals) which will be "airside" as you put it has 2 bureaux de changes as well as a Thomas Cook according to the list.
