Has anybody here used a product called Oneroam to reduce mobile costs when abroad. Comments appreciated?

I am not familiar with Oneroam but I travel abroad frequently and also have many friends who do as well. This is what we do to reduce the expense.
Most cell companies around the world use a GSM network. Also they work on a prepaid system. You buy a sim card, which goes in the back of your GSM phone, from the prevailing cell provider in the area you are traveling. This gives you a phone number and cell service. Likely all incoming calls will be free even if you have a 0 Balance on your prepaid card and outgoing calls (local calls) will charge a preset fee, usually just pennies, and international calls will have a preset fee for the country you are calling. Roaming charges have always been outrageous. All you will need to buy is an unlocked GSM cell phone that has at least 2 bands of service but prefferably three. Then get your sim card and away you go.
Many people experienced with travel abroad have their US cell phone and an international cell phone. One more thing, if you have a cell phone like T-Mobile (Duetchetelcom) or Cingular you likely already use GSM and probably have a phone cabable of going abroad, Just have your existing phone "unlocked" or "open lined" which means you program the phone to accept all simcards instead of only the sim card for your current cell provider. Sorry for the long winded answer.
I used this sim card when I went travelling after uni. The last thing I wanted was to have to buy a new sim card for every country I visited and this was perfect. Not only did it mean that I saved an estimated £400 on all the calls I made but I didn't have to worry about swapping sims all the time. I even used an automatic facility to add credit so that if my balance was running low they would top me up. The service was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone even if they were just going away for a weekend.
nope
