Does anyone know if Sturry near Canterbury is a nice place to live?
Answers:
Yes it is. Three miles north-east of Canterbury at Sturry is the old Roman junction of the road from the city to the fort of Reculver, which is still in use today, beyond where the railway line from Canterbury crosses the road. Sturry itself is a large parish incorporating the former mining village of Hersden and several hamlets. Sturry was one of the most badly bombed villages in England during the Second World War, the greater part of the High Street being destroyed by a parachute mine in 1941, which also killed 15 people. Since then, Sturry has been completely rebuilt and the population has almost doubled.
Canterbury itself is a lovely city and the areas surrounding it are also very nice (I'm in Faversham).
Sturry itself is nice too! very old looking, like everywhere it has horrible parts but overall its nice, I go through it often.
