Travelling to Australia?

Could anyone tell me the cheapest airline to use to get to australia from the uk, i realise it would probably be cheaper to travel from London so i would be willing to do that. I`m just on a bit of a budget and want to go for as little as possible. Any info would be great.

Yeh try a search engine for flights. That normally gets the cheapest. And choose a flight at off peak times of day and year to get the cheapest, if you can. Booking in advance, up to 12 months, is also advisable if u want the best deal. If u wanna go Xmas this year, you've left it a bit too late. April, May and June are normally the cheapest times (school holidays here and winter-ish in Oz).

I found ebookers were the best one for me, but I didnt try too hard, just googled flights..
I'm from Australia, but living over here for a bit. I've found Japan Airlines (JAL) is usually the cheapest. Whenever I've looked..(and I've looked alot as I'm always looking for a cheap visit home) they are always the ones quoting the cheapest flights. I don't think you can get a flight from their website, but if you enter 'cheap flights to australia' in your search engine you'll get a range of websites you can check. I wouldn't use ebookers though, they're usually one of the more expensive websites. Try cheapestflights.co.uk
take a flight with canada air that exchanges with continental air, saved me $400 and 2 hours off the best flight time.
($400 cheaper than virgin and 2 hours, and $550 cheaper than british/qantas air)
look for the charter flights they are about half price
