I'm about to move to Australia- what's Adelaide like?
Answers:
I agree with The Ox. Adelaide is the best place ever.
Flinders Ranges is the best place to go hiking or 4 wheel driving. Our winerie are world renown (ever heard of Hardy Wines or penfold) so you can try our wineries. Our Univeristies are the best in the world and we are the lucky ones where it dosn't take 2-3 hours to get to work in the city like Sydney or Melbourne and we don't have tolls on our highways like them either.
don't know
Sooo luck! Well, more freedom than the US. MAYBE THE REST OF US WILL FOLLOW! lol
take gravity boots it,s upside down
its is a small place and quiet very laid back
City of Churches. Flat and laid out with a lot of parks. Permanently short of water. Not the liveliest city in Australia, mainly because of the lack of water. Been there once. Lots of nice old late 19th century houses where I stayed.

From my experience of a year travelling in Australia, Adelaide was the cheapest city. It is very ordinary and not very big. There is not much to do in the city but plenty to do on day tours. Enjoy it and have a safe flight.
Adelaide is magnificent!
A city of just over a million people with so much to see and do.
Spend a day in the Barossa or Clare Valleys sipping on some of that famous wine or y not hop over to Kangaroo Island for a day or two.
If you're a little more energetic try camping in the Flinders Ranges or hiking the Heysen Trail.
Perhaps time your visit to coincide with the V8 Supercars race thru the streets of Adelaide in March or the Tour Down Under bike race in January
Nice place to live but not much to do. Its a bit boring and slow, but great if u like that. Some people refer to Adelaide as the "Retirement State" Cheers
