Going to glasgow for the weekend in november?

does anyone know any good places to go for a meal and a few drinks

Answers:
Head for the mearchant city, about 5 mins walk east from george's square. Loads of good resteraunts and plenty of bars etc.
For eating in that area my personal favorite is Pancho Villas, a mexican place. There are spanish, italian and just about any other type of resteraunt you care to mention in the area too.

You can spend the whole night into the wee small hours in arta, as it does good food and part of it is a club opened to the wee small hours.
If you want to eat somewhere a bit upmarket then go to 'The Ubiquitous Chip' the food is fantastic and there's a couple of nice pubs next to it, an Irish place and a little place called 'the Wee Snug' or something similair.

I would have to second the Merchant City, check out the link! Arta is a stunning Mediterranean restaurant with live music till 3am plus loads of other places around

Have fun! Glasgow is a great city
First of all I would like to say: I am jealous as hell!! I do remember a restaurant that I ate in when I last visited there. I dont remember the name, I do remember that it was across from the old movie theatre. It was the BEST italian I had ever had!

Have a great time! Glasgow rocks!
