3-31/2 hours? lol. If you take main roads and don't stop, it should take you 8-9 hours to travel the nearly 600 miles, depending on road closures and traffic. Be careful about going during winter storm season as there is a mountain pass that closes frequently on the border of CA and OR.
Mapquest is a great resource when planning road trips. Simply enter the town you are departing from and the town you are going to in the 'driving directions' area and you'll get directions, milage, and time. It takes about 5 seconds.

I couldn't try it out as i'd need your postcode, but the one in the UK, known as the AA, works brilliantly and I use it all the time whenever I need to know where i'm going and how long it'll take me.
