You are now allowed to carry ONE piece of hand luggage on board a plane however restriction still apply.

Don't forget that once you've checked in and in the departure you can buy items such as cosmetics from Duty Free shops
Additionally you may wish to check with the airline you're flying with to see if they have additional security procedures.

I dropped the g/f off at Heathrow on Sunday. She had a laptop and a girly handbag - the check-in witch said "one or the other, take your pick", so guess who ended up walking out of Terminal 4 with a ladies handbag? Yes, No liquids, toothpaste etc.
Pack all of that stuff in the suitcase you will send through.

Yes I think it does, but they are allowing a small bag now but if you go on your airlines web page it will give you full details of what you can and cant take.
The no carry-on luggage rule is unfortunately still in effect from Heathrow to the US. :(
A friend has just been to France by Ryanair and she was allowed one piece of hand baggage only (i.e her handbag had to go in the other 'hand-baggage')
