How to travel around London?

i am going to see Dirty Dancing show with my daughter and don't know London at all. can anyone tell me how to get from victoria coach station to covent gardens

Answers:
TUBE.
Tube is the quickest way aound london. download a tube map to see which line you need
You can take a cab from Victoria to Covent Garden, which would be around 10 mins away.
The tube. get off at Leicester Square and follw the masses !
I believe a 38 bus will take you from victoria to charing cross rd then take a left when you reach leicester sq and it's a short walk. Otherwise jump on the victoria line, change at green park onto the picadilly line straight through to covent garden
You will be quite near to Victoria train/tube station. From the tube station catch the Victoria line to Green Park and change onto the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden. The cheapest ticket is likely to be a 1 day Travelcard - this can be used all day on tubes and buses. Enjoy the show.
Ok.From Victoria I would take the underground (tube). Best route is..

Take Victoria Line North 1 Stop to Green Park
Take Picadilly Line North from Green park get off at the 3rd stop (covent garden)

Buy a zone 1&2 Travelcard £4.90 adult £3.10 Child.
The tube is the best way
go to this webite http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/xs.

Just type in your place of departure and where you want to go and it will tell you the quickest route.
Walk from the coach station to the victoria bus/train station, about 5 min walk, then either take the VICTORIA LINE TUBE TO OXFORD CIRCUS and change for the central line here to covent garden or
walk to victoria bus/train station and catch bus 38 towards CLAPTON AND GET OFF AT CAMBRIDGE CIRCUS.- which is the start of covent garden.
Tube is the easiest and potentialy the quickest. Using a bus is often an overlooked option although less fun now the routemasters have been retired.. Victoria to Covent Garden is one stop north on victoria line to green park then you change to the piccadily line goine east for three more stops (you walk through quite a few tunnels to get from victoria to piccadily line).
if it is not rush hour take a cab otherwise use the tube
Tube I guess, take plenty of money with you, everything is so expensive in London even the tube and from my experience the people are rude and unfriendly. Show should be great fun, hope you both have a great time
The number 38 bendy-bus. You'll see more of London on the way and you won't need to fight your way down the escalators or walk a long way at Green Park station between platforms.
oh easy peasy as they say in london the tube or bus will surley get you there cheap and effeicently but the expensive taxi will take you up and down strets you might never get to see
if you search tfl on google and click on route planner it will tell you what to do and how long it will take it also has maps. good luck have fun.
Tube from Victoria Underground to Covent Garden Underground and back.
Walk backwards, that way you will know if you made a wrong turn ??
go to this site and you will see all your options
